All marquees require restraining within the guidelines given by one or parts of all of the following three things:

1. The Marquee Manufacturers Guidelines
2. The Temporary Demountable Structures Guidelines 2007 (click here for further info)
3. The MUTA accredited Best Practice (click here to download)

Most marquees are erected on grass and can therefore be staked into the ground using suitable ground anchors but when the marquee is to be erected on hardstanding ie tarmac, concrete or surfaces that have undergound services whch cannot be penetrated, marquee weights must be used.

A3 Events currently hire out 1000 litre water weights or ibc tank for this purpose and have in excess of 100 in stock and are happy to hire to any marquee hire company.

This water weight system is designed to be transported easily and provide 1 ton per water ballast tank to be positioned on each leg of a marquee in conjunction with the relevant guidelines.

In addition to this A3 is in the process of developing a unique marquee weights system which hopefully will be launched in the next 6 months  providing the industry with a new way of restraining marquees.
